What is Ya Arhamar Rahimin ?

"Ya Arhamar Rahimin" is an Arabic phrase meaning "O Most Merciful of the merciful". This supplication is made while making dua to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. 

Benefits of Reciting this -

Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith with two very weak chains. The narration should not be quoted. The complete narration is as follows:

“Allah Ta’ala has appointed an Angel for those who say ‘Ya Arhamar Rahimin’. So whoever says it thrice, the Angel says, Certainly Arhamur Rahimin [i.e., Allah Ta’ala] is paying attention so ask”

However using the words “Arhamur Rahimin” in du’a is certainly desirable. Musa (‘alayhis salam) had also used these words when supplicating to Allah.

Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Quran:

“He [Musa ‘alayhis salam] said, “O My Rabb! Forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy. You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy [Arhamur Rahimin]”

(Surah A’raf, verse: 151)

 And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
